Does YOUR mother take your advice?

There are clients, and then there are clients. I’ve worked with a variety of people over the past few years, but the most interesting experience has been working with my mother, yep, my mom.

I’ll let that soak in a bit. I coached my mother…

While I was creating my on-line instruction modules she served as both my proofreader and my guinea pig. As we live half a country apart this was a great opportunity for her to REALLY learn about what I do.

Mother is an excellent proofreader and as it turns out, not a bad guinea pig either. She followed my advice, OK, most of it, for the 12 weeks I was creating the units and tweaking them. The best part was that she made a good portion of what she learned a part of her life, and by default, my father’s. Daddy does the grocery shopping so believe it or not he’s checking out kale and collards these days. When I call he loves to tell me about the great buys he’s made.

I was impressed with the changes they made and the impact the changes have had on my mother’s health, so I invited her to be a guest blogger. Over the next few weeks look for her blogs on what changes they’ve made and how those changes have changed them.

Oh, by the way, my mom will be 80 years old this year, so no grumbling about teaching old dogs new tricks. It is possible to make meaningful changes once you decide you’re worth the effort.
